OXFORD TOWN HALL – March 27th 2011

This event was a resounding success and we raised £7319.70! We would like to thank everyone involved for their hard work preparing for the event that seemed to join all the various Japanese communities of Oxford together. Many of the artists, performers and other volunteers were entertaining all day without a break and the remaining miso soup was extremely welcome at the end! We would especially like to thank Mieko and Peter at Edamame. Mieko was up all night making onigiri delightfully presented in origami trays. We were pleased to see the day was covered in the Oxford Mail and on the local BBC news. Thank you finally to everyone who came and donated to make it such a vibrant celebration of Japanese culture. Hopefully see you again at Marlborough School!
