paul brankin

DR PAUL BRANKIN OBE

Paul is an experienced businessman and company director. After initial training as a physicist and five years research in low temperature physics, he moved to the commercial world and worked in the scientific instrument industry for 30 years. In 2000 Paul joined Oxford Executive, an organisational development company run jointly with his wife, Maire. Paul joined Oxford Instruments plc in 1974 and over the next 25 years held a variety of roles in research and development, manufacturing, sales, marketing and general management, including Chief Executive of Oxford Medical. He worked in Japan from 1990 to 1992 and was seconded to the DTI as an Export Promoter from 1994 to 1995. In 1995 he was awarded an OBE for services to exports to Japan. From 1988 to 1995 Paul was a Governor of Oxford Brookes University and in 1991 he was appointed as a Non-executive Director of Oxfordshire Health Authority, where he served until April 2000. Paul is a practicing Executive Coach and a Director of Oxford Executive. He is Chairman of the Trustees of Science Oxford, an Honorary Visiting Fellow of Green Templeton College, Oxford, and an Honorary Fellow of Oxford Brookes University.

DAVID LEE

David has been the director of an education and travel business for 17 years. After graduating from Trinity College, Cambridge he moved to Kyoto, Japan and spent several years learning Japanese. In 1994 he founded Oxford International Exchange, offering educational programmes for Japanese coming to the UK. After marrying his Japanese wife, Yuri, he moved with her permanently to Oxford and started a new business organising travel to Japan. In 2009 he became a governor at his daughter’s school and has been involved in fundraising for a new school crossing and new mathematics projects.
